International City is one of the most affordable, family-friendly communities in Dubai. The residential community features apartments, townhouses, and villas near basic amenities. Developed by Nakheel Properties, International City spans over 8,000,000 square metres. It comprises 10 clusters themed around the architectural vibes of China, Persia, France, Spain, England, Greece, Russia, Morocco, Italy, and the Emirates. Community Overview

International City is in the Al Warsan area near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Ras Al Khor Road (E44). The community comprises of two phases:

  • International City Phase 1
  • International City Phase 2

International City Phase 1 was completed in 2002; all ten clusters are here. On the other hand, International City Phase 2 is currently under development, with a few buildings ready to rent or buy apartments.

The area offers plenty of studios, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, with freehold properties potentially bringing good returns. Townhouses and villas are also available in Warsan Village on the south-western boundary.

Phase 2 of International City is popular among buyers and renters, where you can rent a 1-bedroom apartment for AED 40,000 to 65,000 and a 2-bedroom apartment for AED 55,000 to AED 95,000. The selling price for a 1-bedroom apartment starts at AED 450,000 and can go up to AED 850,000. 2-bedroom apartments can range from AED 650,000 to AED 1,000,000.

Warsan Village is the second most popular area in International City among the residents. Here, you can rent a 3-bedroom villa for AED 110,000 to AED 130,000 and buy it for AED 1,200,000 to 2,000,000.

Public Transport and Connectivity

International City does not directly link to the Metro stations. Buses X23, 53, 365, and 366 can take you to the nearest Al Nahda Metro Station, Etisalat Metro Station, and Centrepoint Metro Station. If you travel by car, Interchanges 5 and 6 of Mohammed Bin Zayed Road provide easy access to the highway.

Malls and Supermarkets in International City

The 1.2-kilometre-long Dragon Mart is the main shopping attraction for residents living in International City and the nearby areas. It consists of Dragon Mart 1 and Dragon Mart 2 and features over 4000 retail shops where you can shop everything from home essentials, furnishings, and electronics to heavy machinery, office equipment, and building materials. 

The Carrefour Supermarket inside Dragon Mart 2 fulfils the residents' daily grocery needs. Lulu and Growth Mart are available in the community.

Restaurants

International City has some of the best cafes and shisha spots scattered throughout the community. Popular chains like Starbucks, Chilis, and Le Pain Quotidien, among others, can be found inside Dragon Mart. Other popular restaurants are:

The community is close to Dubai International Academic City, which has many reputable schools and universities.
